A charming 19th century antique French giltwood wall sconce, featuring a beautifully hand-painted romantic pastoral scene set within an elegant heart-shaped panel. The carved giltwood frame is adorned with braided moulding and a pierced crest, characteristic of French Louis XV revival craftsmanship. The item is in good antique condition with age-related wear. There is visible paint loss and one paint chip on the side. The candle holder shows slight movement but remains securely in place. The sconce does not have a dedicated hanging hook. It can be easily mounted by resting it securely on a nail or screw in the wall.
